INNMEDSCAN 2nd Workshop at the ODAE 2025 Conference
The INNMEDSCAN 2nd Workshop was held on September 3–4,
2025, in Ölüdeniz, Turkey, as part of the international
event ODAE – “Open Dialog in Applied Engineering 2025”,
organized by the Coordinator COFAC/Lusófona
University.
Integrating the INNMEDSCAN Workshop within the ODAE 2025
framework provided a valuable opportunity to present and
disseminate the project’s results to a wider
international and multidisciplinary audience, including
other EU-funded consortia. The event was organized
primarily as an in-person conference, with the option of
online participation, thereby ensuring broad
accessibility and engagement across Europe and
beyond.
ODAE 2025 brought together scientists, researchers, and
engineers from different countries to exchange knowledge
on recent developments in engineering and their
application to societal and healthcare-related
challenges. The event also served as a platform for
cross-project exchange, facilitating the dissemination
of results from several EU-funded initiatives, including
DETMED (101129879), PhytoAPP (101007642), CATCHER
(101046307), EWALD (101086250), E-NOSE (101182748), and
HSAFE (101232577).
The conference emphasized progress in applied
engineering and related scientific domains. Its
objectives included promoting interdisciplinary
dialogue, fostering collaboration, and supporting the
sustainability of EU-funded projects. In addition, the
event contributed to the training of young researchers
and PhD students, several of whom presented their
work.
The INNMEDSCAN Workshop was structured across two
days:
• September 3rd – Scientific Lectures
within the ODAE 2025 program:
o “Advanced
Capabilities of Next-Generation SiPMs in Radiation
Spectroscopy”, by Prof. Azer Sadigov (NNRC, AZ)
o
“Improvement and Development of the GaN-HEMT-Based
Sensor for Tomographic Scanner Applications”, by Prof.
Ercan Yilmaz (BAIBU, TK)
o “Electronics for SiPM
sensors in timing performance demanding application”, by
Prof. Michael Holik (CVUT, CZ)
o “Study of
spectral sensitivity of MAPD”, by Prof. Dmitro Stratilat
(INR NAS, CZ)
• September 4th – Consortium Round
Table, coordinated by the project coordination team,
dedicated to reviewing overall project progress.
Discussions covered project management, deliverables,
mobility statistics, as well as communication and
dissemination activities.
